The Walters Cultural Arts Center was a lot of fun to tour, has a fun history and is an important piece for arts of all sorts in the Hillsboro area. When you step into the main event space, you'll be impressed. It is very spacious, beautiful, yet magically manages to still give the feeling of warm & intimate.
The Glenn & Viola Walters Cultural Arts Center houses a 200 seat performance/event space, six classrooms, gallery, kitchen, box office and beautiful outdoor grounds, including two terraces. The Center offers courses and workshops with an emphasis on ceramics and visual arts classes while also offering classes in theater, drawing, music, fiber arts, as well as providing a community location for banquets, meetings and cultural events. The Center is a showplace for the arts and a vibrant representation of Hillsboro's commitment to culture and the arts.
